Plymouth could become South West's premier city

Plymouth is well-positioned to claim the title of the South West's "regional capital", according to the region;s largest firm of international property consultants.

Ifan Rhys-Jones, who is based at King Sturge's recently-opened office in Plymouth, believes the raft of major development projects currently underway in the city - plus several in the pipeline - mean it could soon challenge Exeter's traditional claim to be the South West's first city.

"We already have world-class developments such as Drake Circus, Tamar Science Park and the University of Plymouth's Levinsky Building," he told the firm's South West Property Review and Forecast event, held at Tamar Science Park earlier this month.
